OUR COMMUNITY

OUR WORK
Wilco and Lydia moved with their family to Kenya in 2001 and whilst working at a local bible school God introduced them to a wider community and gave them a heart to serve these isolated communities.
Education and Church Planting
For many years YASHA Ministry International has been involved in establishing and supporting pre-schools in rural and isolated communities. The main focus is to support children to improve their English speak, read and writing skills in order to prepare them for primary education where these skills are a necessity to engage. We recently built a small library in Lomolo 'A' with bricks made from 100% plastic waste. This is almost definitely a first in Africa (and possibly the world). Books are Power has donated several cases of books which assist us immensely during our holiday camps in this remote area.
We have also planted several churches in some of these communities.
Social Enterprise
YASHA Ministry International runs a number of social enterprises that help to improve local peoples skill levels as well as provide them with much needed employment. In addition, these efforts help to support YASHA Ministry International to increase income and hereby support more within the community.
