OUR COMMUNITY
Based in a beautiful location in the region, this community is in one of the least populous in the area. Nestled in a mountainous region it is often difficult to access and makes it one of the poorest areas in the whole region. This has led to a broken system and a strong cycle of poverty where generations are struggling to make ends meet and live in this beautiful but difficult environment.
Whilst located in an area with a higher proportion of Christian, this community still many who havent heard about the amazing transformation available in Christ. Many people in this part of the world, are stuck in a social caste system that keeps them from achieving all that God created them to be. In this system, people are labelled and limited from birth and live with the constant limitations of their social status from even before they know anything let alone where they stand in the social hierarchy.
OUR WORK
Our worker in this community is overseeing a number of exciting developments. Recently, our Catalyst has started work with the community to asess community needs and come up with programmes that will help many to find holistic transformation.
As part of this work, our catalyst has started work, through funded sources through the visiblefund. This fund has supported the development of a bee business, sourcing honey for sale locally. Currently having established 15 hives, the vision for this project is to establish 200 over the coming five years, and by do so, have the projects become more self sufficent as well as provide locals with the skills required to break the cycle of poverty.
In addition to this new venture, our worker is building relationships with locals, and is taking oppotunties give to share the amazing truth and love of God to all those they meet and begin to disciple them as followers of the way.
