The trafficking and sexual exploitation of people is among one of the most evil and oppressive realities of our world today. In Greece, hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children are affected by this criminal industry, and the problem only continues to grow. In Athens, we work closely with many who have had their lives changed entirely through the trauma of being trafficked and exploited.
Nea Zoi is a long-established ministry situated in the heart of Athens that exists to reach out to the men and women who have been trapped in this industry, suffering sexual and physical violence and abuse on a daily basis. Nea Zoi is comprised of a team of individuals from a multitude of countries and nationalities, all working together to combat this dark evil.
Adriana has been serving with Nea Zoi for many years now.
Although originally from Romania, Adriana has been living in Greece for over a decade and has come to know not only the language, but the highly complicated Greek medical and social services network and system. With her knowledge and expertise, Adriana leads the outreaches to the brothels and the streets, as well as facilitating and accompanying women to various appointments necessary for their holistic support.
