Phil worked for Wycliffe Hall for 15 years prior to joining One Collective UK, where he was the Domestic Bursar.  As such, he brings a wide range of experience, from leading multiple teams, leading projects, managing budgets, operational vision, all the way through to practical hands-on experience in building and maintenance.

Phil has taken on the role as Catalyst for the Jungle, which is a holistic community transformation project, pioneered by One Collective UK, in Templars Square, a shopping centre in Cowley, Oxford.

At the Jungle, we host a wide range of projects including a men’s ministry, Story Time for young children, an adult social time called Time for Tea, a weekly Art Gym for adults to explore creativity (in partnership with Activate Learning), we provide referrals with bags of toiletry/household items, a family mentoring programme (in partnership with ROC and Christ Church) and we will soon launch a self-esteem course for women, for which we aim to receive referrals for from Thames Valley Police, Asylum Welcome, Refugee Resource and other partners.  All programs are free.  There are so many points at which we get to share Jesus’ love and so many exciting things happening - lives being touched by the love of Jesus!

Phil has a passion for the oppressed and those marginalised by society. Having been born in Oxford he is well aware of the poverty and oppression that exists in Cowley, and the Jungle is doing vital work to support those in need in a holistic, and deeply relational, way.

Phil works hard to ensure that ‘no one is invisible’ and that everyone has access to ‘food, freedom and forgiveness’ - his passion is to see the Cowley community transformed by giving a hand of friendship, and ultimately by the power of God.
